Meet Nazanine...
Teaching yoga is a passion of mine, and while it is not a lucrative passion, it fulfills my desire to make the world a better place. I can leave a class and feel like I did something to make a positive impact in the world. Teaching gives me a platform to help make a change. The change usually starts within oneself and the practice of yoga helps us to go inward and see where we can make a difference within ourselves. The word Yoga, means to yoke. Its a practice that has been around for centuries and it enables the practitioner to help bring the mind, body, and spirit all together in a state of peacefulness. The practice of Yoga is not affiliated with any religion, ethnicity, or age group. Its a practice that can be done by all. I am looking forward to sharing this practice with you. |
Yoga for Seniors
Yoga for Seniors is a mixed level class. This is a great opportunity for seniors to do some Yoga exercises to help benefit breathing, joint flexibility, low back pain, etc. This is a free flowing class where seniors are free to take breaks or sit out exercises as needed. I will offer up modifications for exercises. We will have chairs, for those that need a chair. We will share in community with each other and take part in the benefits that the practice of yoga has to offer. We will enjoy in the spirit of fun while taking care of our bodies and wellness. Come prepared in comfortable clothing, water, and whatever else you may need to help make the exercises more comfortable.
